Manjusha’s day begins at 6am with boiling water for cooking. Prior to owning a HomeStove, she would spend two hours each morning and another two in the evening preparing meals for her family. It takes her about half that time now with the HomeStove, upon which she can cook all kinds of food, even rotis (a traditional Indian bread). During the morning cooking session, she makes lunch for the men to bring to work. They explain how their dabbas (commonly used tin lunch boxes) are packed and ready in a much quicker fashion now, allowing them to arrive at work earlier, and have a more productive day.
